Forrester has published a new Now Tech report reviewing 29 POS and mobile POS software providers by size, geography, and vertical market focus. Offering a comparative analysis of the functional capabilities of each solution, the market guide aims to help retailers select a vendor that most closely matches their needs.
According to Forrester analysts: “Today, point of service systems do far more than process transactions. Most retailers should expect modern POS/mPOS systems to provide optimized transaction processing, enable and automate modern forms of selling and facilitate scalable customer services.”
Another key factor in selecting the right provider is to consider whether your POS system “can adapt to new technologies… easily configure and integrate into existing systems… and help you track KPIs to analyze and report on your progress.”
